Oh my god does this plate make me dream of summer! It’s nice and warm now where I live and it feels so nice !! But instead of enjoying the sunshine… I’m inside making DIYs !

Super easy DIY, really easy to make and adapt to your colors/style/abilities!

  1. UIsing masking tape, mark to ends (about 2 cm) and paint 3 coats of white (drying in between)

2- With your paintbrush, make chevron style motifs by diping your paintbrush in the paint and then applying it on the white dry paint.

3- Add a purple line (I only taped one side and freestyles the other)

4-I hand painted 2 black lines (a first coat and then filled it in to make it nice and opaque)

You could leave it at this and skip to the carnish step but I chose to decorate the middle part too!

5 – I practiced on paper and then just went for it!

I went over several times to make it as opaque as possible

6- Two coats of varnish!

For the water resistance… I’d be careful not to but things that are too wet on it (ideally to just wiped it down after use.. no dishwasher)

I put little bites on it, I don’t know the effects of the varnish ingredients so it’s up to you if you are willing to have your food touch it or not!
