The marble obsession continues, after Halloween… Christmas ! Still usgin this amazing DIY airdry clay (used here and here). So simple to make you can create really great Marble Christmas ornaments to use or give !
2 parts baking powder | 1 part corn flour | 1 1/2 parts cold water
1. Measure baking soda et flour 2. Mix 3. Add water and heat 4. mix continuously, it wil make bubbles.. it’s almost ready! 5. Keep mixing until it forms a dough 6. Let it cool down before using.
Once you have your clay, take a little piece and just add some black paint (O had black acrylic paint on hand so I used that) et then mix it (in a twisting motion) carfeul not tu “over mix”, you want to keep streaks of paint that will keep mixing as you flatten your clay. If the clay is sticking to your hands, let it dry a few minutes before continuing.
Using cookie cutters or shapes you have on hand (glasses, boxes, etc) + a knife, cut the shapes you want and pierce a hole with a pen to be able to pull a string through it and attach them!
If you have cookie letters, use them to write chritsmassy message!
Let them dry and flip them regularely (Idealy they have to dry as quickly as possible to try to make them in the morning on a sunny day!)
Once they’re dry, Tape your decorations to protect / expose different parts and spraypaint GOLD.
Insert your piece of string in the hole you made (with a yarn needle is easiest)
And start decorating !!
Yes, I also made a christmas donut with more acryclic paint.
Cool!!!
