Months ago I found this Shashi bracelet and wanted to recreate it DIY bracelet style! The technique used is super simple and it’s given me ideas to develop it to make different DIY bracelets! I love it even more then I thought and I love to wear it with my diy woven miyuki bracelet.
To make this DIY designer bracelet you need:
- rose gold chain (small and bigger)
- embroidery thread (different shades of blue, one black and one copper one from DMC)
- Extension chain
- rose gold lobster clasp
- 2 rings
- threading needle
The steps to make this DIY bracelet:
- Cut pieces of embroidery thread and chain a bit longer than you wrist size and align them
- Cut a piece of embroidery thread (here black) and starting wrapping it around your bracelet (and around the end of the black thread)
- When you get to the desired length, with you needle, thread the end back into the wrap
- Do the same thing with another color (here copper) over the previous one (black)
- Repeat step 2 and 3 2 cm form the ends of the bracelet
- Repeat step 4 but add a ring into it
- Attach your clasp to one of the rings and your extension chain to the other
